CUET is a standardized examination for undergraduate admissions in India, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The University Grants Commission (UGC) has assigned the National Testing Agency (NTA) to conduct the UGC-NET examination, which determines the eligibility of Indian nationals for roles as Assistant Professors and for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in Indian universities and colleges. Since December 2018. The exam comprises two papers: Paper I, assessing teaching and research aptitude, includes 50 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), each worth 2 marks; Paper II, focusing on the candidate’s chosen subject specialization, contains 100 MCQs, each carrying 2 marks. Both papers are conducted consecutively in a single three-hour session, with no breaks in between.
